The Powell Peralta Steve Caballero Ban This Flight Black/Red Foil skateboard deck puts Sean Cliver's 1988 Ban This Dragon on Flight construction in Shape 192. This deck-only board measures 9.29 inches wide by 31.95 inches long with a 14.75 inch wheelbase and matched 6.5 inch nose and tail, a wide double-kick platform for bowls, parks, and all-terrain skating. Black and red foil sit under the dragon so metallic color flashes through the classic linework. Flight construction fuses U.S. hard rock maple, high-strength fiberglass, and AirLam epoxy in Ventura, California, for a thinner, stronger deck with lasting pop and no included grip tape.
Sean Cliver Ban This Dragon on Black/Red Foil
Sean Cliver updated Caballero's dragon in 1988 after winning Powell-Peralta's artist search, working in a style close to VCJ. The graphic later picked up the Ban This name from its slow-motion spot in that video. This Flight colorway prints the dragon over black and red foil so metal shows through the scales and fire. Foil sheets can carry faint process lines, which Powell calls normal, and the ink-to-foil bond scratches if the deck is handled hard out of the package. The 1988 drawing still reads instantly on this modern Flight press.
Shape 192 Width with K21 Concave
Powell Shape 192 opens to 9.29 inches on a 31.95 inch length with a 14.75 inch wheelbase and twin 6.5 inch kicks, giving Cab-style stability without stretching into a full old-school cruiser. K21 concave is a medium-plus radial that holds the feet in transition and still pops for flip tricks. Flight's epoxy-infused fiber stack is as thin as a phone, more than twice as strong in tail-break tests, and built so snap lasts several times longer than a comparable 7-ply. That is the current way to ride the Ban This dragon hard instead of hanging it.
