Built by boarders for boarders, the Algernon is the first snowboard from skateboard maker Loaded Boards. The board is built from custom Loaded Bamboo core that runs tip to tail and edge to edge. No sidewalls eliminate weight and allows for a consistent flex and snap. Edge to edge feel is reliable and snappy.
Bamboo construction is the perfect combo of dampening and responsiveness. This makes for a buttery and lively ride. Vibration is reduced further via the strategically placed bamboo dampeners (they also look rad).
The shape is directional, yet twin between the widest points. The nose is slightly longer for powder. Camber is that of a mustache. Edges are hand sharpened and de-tuned with One Ball Jay Bio-Wax.
Extra binding positions allow for a setback stance, ideal for powder days. Mid-LoadedArbinding positions make the Algernon more geared towards park riding. This board is a true all around shred sled.
