lbs

Welcome to the Stoked Ultimate Bushing Calculator. The goal of this tool is to create the easiest to use bushing durometer calculator for any bushing brand out there. Simply put in your weight to the box and recommended ranges will appear. Click on the unit of weight to change from lbs to kgs.

For reference, most reverse kingpin trucks come with approximately 90a as the stock bushing. Traditional kingpin trucks' bushings may start a little harder.

These are just recommendations, but we feel they are great starting point.

One caveat: These recommendations are for general riding only. For those that want to do specialized riding (such as LDP), the recommendations will be different.

RipTide Bushings

RipTide is the most complete bushing company out there. They have tons of custom shapes and designs for just about every skateboard.

RipTide APS

RipTide APS is the most "normal" bushing in the RipTide line up, but there is hardly anything normal about them. APS is designed to perform. Period. We recommend this bushing to anyone looking to get higher performance out of any skateboard truck.

RipTide APS Bushings

RipTide APS comes in a wide range of bushing durometers and shapes. They are best used for the general skateboarder, where no unique or special performance needs are required (other than getting gnargnar).

RipTide WFB

RipTide WFB is a lubricated bushing designed for super fast turns and carves. WFB stands for "World's Fastest Bushing" for a good reason. The self-lubricating nature of these bushings leaves hardly any resistance so carving is incredibly fast.

RipTide KranK is designed to change with tightness. Board feeling a bit too loose? Give that kingpin nut a few turns and KranK will respond by getting harder. Want to ride a bit more loose? Take down the tension and KranK will carve like a dream.

Venom Bushings

Venom is the most famous longboard bushing brand. Their bushings have long been the staple of every longboarder's diet... I mean bushing setup. They fit most trucks and have a large variety of shapes and duros.

Venom High Performance Formula (HPF) Bushings

Their High Performance Formula is probably what most consider to be their "normal" formula.

Oust Bushings

Oust bushings are on the pricey-er side but for good reason! Every product that Oust releases is high quality, made in the USA. Uber bushings are manufactured using a blended pre-polymer urethane making them very resilient.

Oust Bushings

Oust Uber bushings are injection molded at 90,000 PSI making them the most internally consistent bushing. When compressed with 20,000 pounds of pressure for three minutes, they returned to original size after 27 seconds.

Riot Bushings

Riot is an amazing longboarding brand run by Madison Atwood. He specializes in innovative and custom urethane accessories, doing all the jobs a custom skateboarder needs from board chops to insert bushings.

All Riot bushings are machined on a lathe creating very tight dimensional tolerances.

Orangatang Nipples Bushings

Otang Nipples are amazing for dancing. They are soft and reboundy. Because of this, it makes it hard to recommend the correct duro.

Orangatang Nipple Bushings

The selection of these bushings is very preference driven. They also are designed for Paris trucks, they probably wont be a perfect fit on much else but you can make them work. They come with very nice flat washers in a easily destroyed cardboard tube.

RAD Bushings

RAD bushings have three duros, with only one shape, the classic barrel. Short sweet and to the point. They're about average range for most riders looking to freeride and downhill.

Blood Orange Bushings

Shorty's Doh-Dohs

Doh Dohs are a favorite among street skaters. They come in a small plastic bag and are generally hard to accommodate their target market.

Bones Hardcore

Bones hardcore are currently the most popular street skating bushings. As their name suggests they get harder as you near the kingpin creating a "hard core".

Bones Hardcore Bushings

The hard core keeps the bushing from being compressed on the the opposite side of turn. It isolates the compression to keep the opposite side from being pushed away from the kingpin.
