If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Ever since its introduction in 1975, Bennett Trucks have been awesome. The Bennett Trucks of today are virtually identical to the first Bennett Trucks produced about 40 years ago. These were the trucks of choice for many of the original, legendary skaters from the 70s who paved the way for the expansion of skateboarding and longboarding.

When searching for trucks with a lot turn and carving capabilities, it just doesn’t get any better than the Bennett Vector!

Turn, Turn, and Turn Some More!

The Bennett Vector is so unique that it is a bit hard to describe its feel in words, but for those who have had the pleasure of riding Bennett Vectors know that this truck dives and turns harder than just about any other truck out there. This is mainly due to its tall height and the openness of the bushing seat. The Bennett Vector is best suited with a tall .750 bushing on the bottom and small .550 on top. Anything much smaller than .750 on bottom will most likely need an extra washer or two to provide you with extra height. All bushing shapes work with the Bennett Vector.

The Bennett Vector is most commonly used by carving and Long Distance Pumping/Pushing (LDP) enthusiasts. With the right bushing setup, Bennett Vectors really allow you to “dig” into your turns. For pumping-related skating, the Bennett Vector is very commonly paired with a Tracker RT-S, with the Bennett as the front truck and the Tracker as the rear. With the right bushings and wedging, the Bennett and Tracker pair can keep you pumping for miles! In its smallest size – the 4.3 – the Bennett Vector also makes for a good beginner front slalom truck.

The Cinnett Baseplate by Cindrich

Also, don’t forget that STOKED is the only skate shop that sells Cindrich baseplates specifically made for Bennett trucks – the Cinnett Baseplate. The Cinette Baseplate is a precision baseplate and provides a perfect fit for your Bennett hanger. It is available in different angles and comes with a grade 8 kingpin which can be easily removed if needed. The Cinnett Baseplate is highly recommended for serious LDP riders!

Truck Width Comparisons

Typically trucks are measured in mm when referring to the hanger portion and inches when referring to the axle portion of the truck hangers. Bennett Trucks are an exception and use inches to measure the hanger portion.

Here is a conversion chart so that you can have an idea how to compare to your existing trucks:

Millimeters (approx.) Inches (approx.)
115mm 4.3 Bennett = 6.8 in
130mm 5.0 Bennett = 7.5 in
150mm 6.0 Bennett = 8.2 in
