Bronson built the Raw as the first shieldless bearing made for skateboarding, with no shield grooves in either race so dust and crud have fewer places to pack in. Eight 608 bearings fit standard 8mm axles on street, park, and cruiser setups. Tungsten coated races add a micro-thin dry film that stays slick and low drag, while deep groove raceways and a fiberglass-filled nylon cage handle side impacts. Hand inspection, a triple solvent wash, and nitrogen-filled packaging keep them factory fresh until you ride. Shield-Free Design and Tungsten Coated Races
The shield-free design is the whole point of a Bronson Raw. With no shields to pop off, crack, or drag, the bearing stays open so you can see when it needs a clean and hear Audible Speed Technology as you roll. No shield grooves also means less of a ledge for dust and dirt to build up around the race. Tungsten coated races carry a micro-thin dry lubricant that is slick, non-stick, and low friction, which helps the balls keep moving when grit shows up. Deep groove raceways seat the balls lower so side loads from landings do less damage to the rolling surface. A non-distortion fiberglass-filled nylon cage keeps the balls spaced under impact and holds up better in a dirtier, open environment. That mix is why these Raw skateboard bearings stay fast and loud through daily miles.
